This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, DAVID AUSTIN who was born in Indiana on April 18, 1981 and passed away on October 28, 2006 at the age of 25. We will remember him forever.

            Dave was a 1997 graduate of Liberty Christian Academy in Seymour. He worked at Powerhouse Bar and Grill in Columbus as a cook and server for the past five months, and had previously worked at T.J. Max in Columbus.

            A vegetarian, he was an advocate for animal rights and a former member of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. He was a former member and lead singer of the band, SPLINK. He was an amateur film maker as a partner in creating video clips. He enjoyed poetry and was published on poetry.com.

            Born April 18, 1981, in Columbus, he was the son of Mary Austin of North Vernon. Surviving with his mother, is a son, Kurdt D. Austin of Seymour.

Any memorials may be made to Jennings County Humane Society or Mercy Rescue of North Vernon. If you would like to make memorials to the family, you may contact me for the information. They will go to his mother and son.
